Introducing the 4th Generation 2025 ObboMed Medical Alternating Pressure Air Mattress

Prevent Bedsores, Enhance Comfort, and Ease Caregiving

Are you caring for someone with limited mobility or who is bedridden?
Bedsores (also called pressure ulcers) are one of the biggest risks for patients confined to bed for long periods.
At ObboMed, we’ve spent over 30 years developing solutions that improve patient comfort, protect skin integrity, and reduce caregiver workload.

Our patented 4th Generation 2025 Alternating Pressure Mattress is the latest innovation in medical air mattress technology — designed to deliver superior pressure relief, advanced ulcer prevention, and unmatched durability.

Why Choose an Obbomed Air Pressure Mattress?

Our advanced air mattress combines three clinically proven therapies to effectively prevent and manage pressure ulcers:

  • Alternating Pressure Therapy – Employs cycles of inflation and deflation to continuously shift pressure points, helping to maintain healthy skin integrity and reduce ulcer risk.
  • Lateral Rotation Therapy – Gentle side-to-side tilting provides additional protection against ulcers while also supporting respiratory health.
  • Low Air Loss Technology – Micro-perforated air cells deliver a steady flow of air that keeps skin cool, dry, and protected from friction and shear.

With ObboMed’s patented design,
our mattress offers unique features such as integrated bedpan, shampoo functionality, inflatable guardrails, multiple rotation modes, warmer, and massage — setting a new benchmark in patient care.

  • Enhanced Circulation – Continuous alternating cycles, combined with rotation therapy, stimulate blood flow and improve tissue oxygenation.
  • Increased Comfort – Quiet operation, premium materials, and customizable settings (warmer, massage, low air loss) ensure 24/7 comfort tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Reduced Caregiver Workload – Patented bedpan and shampoo functions reduce the need for frequent manual repositioning, saving caregivers valuable time and effort.

Who Should Use This Mattress?

  • Patients at risk of bedsores or skin breakdown
  • Individuals who are bedridden long-term due to illness, surgery, or injury
  • Elderly patients requiring additional comfort and safety
  • Hospitals, nursing homes, and home caregivers looking for proven, reliable solutions

OBBOMED ® Patented Solution

The patented “Easy Go” bedpan feature allows caregivers to operate a single-touch button that quickly deflates 4 air cells beneath the buttocks, creating a recessed opening to accommodate a bedpan in just 20 seconds. This innovative bedpan system is designed for in-bed toileting, significantly reducing patient discomfort during transfers and minimizing the caregiver’s physical workload. Ideal for bedridden patients, this feature enhances both safety and hygiene.

The patented “Easy Go” shampoo feature enables in-bed hair washing through a one-touch button operation. The head section of the mattress gently deflates to form a recessed area, allowing a shampoo basin to be positioned within 20 seconds. This simplifies hair washing for immobile patients, avoids unnecessary movement, and provides greater comfort for both patient and caregiver.

Our patented inflatable air-filled guardrails offer a safe, supportive, and patient-friendly alternative to traditional metal side rails. Mid-section opening guardrail allows safe and easy patient entry and exit. Operated with a single button, these soft yet firm air-filled rails can be inflated or deflated as needed. They are designed to prevent falls without the risk of injury, such as bruising, commonly associated with metal guardrails—making them perfect for long-term care or home health settings.

Utilizing specialized air cells, the mattress provides a 15-degree self-lateral rotation by continuously inflating and deflating specific cells. This gentle wave-like motion redistributes the user’s weight, helps improve sleep, alleviates pressure points, stimulates blood circulation, and aids in the prevention of bedsores.

Designed to accommodate various patient needs, the mattress offers multiple rotation angles of 15°, 25° Right / 25°Left / 25°Auto Rotation, 40° Auto Rotation. This feature increases patient activity, assists in lung function by facilitating phlegm expulsion, reduces the risk of pulmonary infections, and enhances overall physical therapy outcomes.

built-in warming system gently distributes heat along the patient’s back, positioned directly above the alternating air cells. This soothing warmth helps stimulate blood flowboost immunity, and promote relaxation, particularly beneficial for those at risk of pressure ulcers or with poor circulation. It enhances patient comfort and healing in any care environment.

This system includes four integrated vibration massagers, controlled by an advanced microprocessor offering multiple massage modes. The vibrations can loosen chest congestion, helping to remove phlegm while also reducing tension, easing pain, promoting blood circulation, and improving overall respiratory health. This makes it a valuable feature for patients with limited mobility or chronic pulmonary conditions.

Obbomed Other Special Feature:

Positioned beneath the cover layer, the dynamic LAL system delivers airflow at 23 liters per minute combined with a built-in airflow fan, this powerful ventilation system effectively removes humidity and regulates moisture and heat around the patient’s skin, helping to maintain a dry and comfortable microclimate. The result is enhanced comfort and improved skin protection—especially vital for individuals of all ages dealing with stage 1 to stage 4 pressure ulcers.

The Fowler function enhances support in the seat and torso sections when the head of the bed is elevated. This design aims to prevent patients from bottoming out, ensuring consistent support and reducing the risk of pressure injuries in seated positions.

Engineered with a cell-on-cell structure, the mattress ensures up to 24-hour protection during power outages by preventing bottoming out. In the event of power failure, it triggers Audio and visual warning, the bottom layer remains inflated, provided the air hose stays connected to the control unit. The user-friendly control unit, located on the bed’s footboard, manages all essential functions seamlessly.
